§ 10.04.010. State traffic laws adopted.

  • Except as otherwise specifically provided in this code, the statutory provisions in Chapters 340 through 348 and 350, Wisconsin Statutes, describing and defining regulations with respect to vehicles and traffic, exclusive of any provisions therein relating to penalties to be imposed and exclusive of any regulations for which the statutory penalty is a fine or term of imprisonment are adopted and by reference made a part of this code as if fully set forth in this chapter. Any act required to be performed or prohibited by any statute incorporated in this chapter by reference is required or prohibited by this code. Any future amendments, revisions or modification of the statutes incorporated in this chapter are intended to be made part of this code in order to secure uniform statewide regulation of traffic on the highways, streets and alleys of the State of Wisconsin.

    The following regulations shall apply to all property owned by the Dodgeland School District located within the city limits of the City of Juneau:

    A.

    Speed Limits. The speed limits for vehicles is ten miles per hour.

    B.

    Stopping Required. When stop signs are erected thereon vehicles approaching Western Avenue from Dodgeland School District property shall stop before entering or crossing Western Avenue, except when directed otherwise by a traffic officer.

    C.

    Loud and Unnecessary Noise in Operation of Motor Vehicles Prohibited. No person shall operate a motor vehicle so as to cause the tires thereof to squeal, the horn to blow excessively or the motor to race excessively.

    D.

    State Traffic Laws Adopted for Enforcement on Dodgeland School District Premises. The following provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes are adopted by reference and shall be applicable to and enforced on Dodgeland School District premises located within the City of Juneau:
