§ 2.28.015. Permitting volunteer fire department accounting to raise money through fund raising and donations.

  • A.

    Monies received by the city of Juneau volunteer fire department as donations or as fund raisers shall be maintained by the secretary/treasurer of the city of Juneau volunteer fire department in separate accounts as the fire department determine necessary; expenditures from such accounts shall be approved by the volunteer fire department, or the executive committee. The secretary/treasurer shall file with the city finance committee for the city of Juneau an annual report accounting for all income and expenses.

    B.

    The secretary/treasurer of the volunteer fire department shall have exclusive access to the funds as authorized or directed by the members of the executive committee of these funds raised through fundraising and donations.

    C.

    Pursuant to the authority granted under Section 66.0608(4), Wisconsin State Statutes funds collected by the city of Juneau volunteer fire department shall be considered to be owned by the city of Juneau until disbursed pursuant to Section 66.0608(4), Wisconsin State Statutes.
